Tomorrow, in the Imperial College, Maria da Graça Carvalho will give a Distinguished Guest Lecture on "Energy and Climate Change: from Scientific Research to Policy Implementation".
Maria da Graça Carvalho will present the research work that has been undertaken over the last 30 years of scientific contribution. This includes the areas of Fundamental Research and Enabling Technologies, Clean Energy Production, Energy efficiency, Energy Policy and Planning, Energy for Development and finally Climate Change. Ms Carvalho will also speak about Public Policy Development.
Ms Carvalho, who completed her Ph.D. at the Imperial College of London in the area of energy intensive industries, will take this opportunity to acquaint herself with the work of the KIK on Climate change and meet with some of the Imperial College key researchers in the area of energy during the afternoon. Ms Carvalho will also visit the Solar Hydrogen labs in Chemical Engineering.
