Atividade Parlamentar EFPIA Annual Event

Maria da Graça Carvalho was invited by the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations EFPIA and its Research Directors' Group (RDG) to attend the annual dinner with senior R&D representatives from pharmaceutical companies. During the event, which took place in Brussels, Maria da Graça Carvalho presented her perspective on healthcare research and PPP in this field under Horizon 2020.

The pharmaceutical industry views Horizon 2020 as a major opportunity to harness the expertise in Europe's biopharmaceutical sector, by pooling resources from the public and the private domains. The event was focused on the Innovative Medicines Initiative (IMI) which aims to build a more collaborative environment for pharmaceutical R&D and boost innovation in European healthcare.
