Maria da Graça Carvalho participated as a speaker in the round table organized by the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission and the European Council of Academies of Applied Sciences, Technologies and Engineering, Euro-CASE on the theme of The dialogue between science, technology and society around two cases: energy and climate change. 

The meeting was held in Brussels today at the European Commission's Berlayment building. The aim of the Round Table was to identify how our societies perceive important technological changes and to analyse various key factors which are necessary to facilitate a better interaction between science, technology and society. 

Maria da Graça Carvalho gave a speech in the opening session following the intervention from Dominique Ristori, Director- General of the Joint Research Center.
