While drawing up the Report on the Simplification of Rules for Participation of current and future European programs for Science and Innovation, Maria da Graca Carvalho organized a seminar in Lisbon, in order to hear from all stakeholders in this debate, to receive contributions and answer their questions.
The seminar took place in the Grand Hall of the Technical Institute and was attended by over 300 people including personalities from academia and industry, representatives of research centres and industry.
Before the debate, Maria da Graca Carvalho presented the Programmes for Science and Innovation in the European Union, their capabilities and potentials, the main problems faced by the Programme Frameworks, the relevance of the simplification programme and finally the report "Simplification of European Programs for Science and Research "and lines of action to improve the 8PQ.
The seminar was chaired by the Rector of the University of Lisbon, Rector of the Technical University of Lisbon, the President of the Polytechnic Institute of Santarém, President of IST and Mrs Maria da Graca Carvalho.
