The ITRE Committee welcomed the Ministers of the Irish Presidency-in-Office of the Council of the European Union during its meeting session today.
The priorities of Ireland's Presidency of the EU Council of Ministers were presented to European Parliament committee by Richard Bruton, Irish Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation and Sean Sherlock, Irish Minister of State at the Department of Enterprise, Jobs and Innovation with responsibility for Research and Innovation.
During the committee meeting, Maria da Graça Carvalho questioned the ministers about Horizon 2020 and the need an appropriate funding in order to achieve its objectives.
