In her quality of chair, Maria da Graça Carvalho attended today the Governing Board of the Knowledge4Innovation (K4I) Forum of the European Parliament. This was the first remote meeting of the K4I Governing Board since coronavirus lockdown began and aimed at resuming activities and planning specific actions for the upcoming months.
The remote meeting gathered more than 30 participants, including Members of the European Parliament and representatives of the member organisations. At the end of discussions, the Governing Board concluded that the K4I Forum should focus its work on the three priorities identified: the recovery from the crisis due to Covid-19, the Multiannual Financial Framework and the Horizon Europe Programme.
The K4I Forum Governing Board consists of Members of the European Parliament (political members) and members of the K4I Management Board. Its role is to agree on the programme of the Forum and ensure that the event topics are in line with the work of the Members of the European Parliament. The K4I Forum events are hosted by the political members who contribute based on their committee work or role as rapporteurs, thereby ensuring the relevance of the debates. The K4I Forum Governing Board convenes 4 to 6 times a year.
