Today in the European Parliament in Strasbourg, Maria da Graça Carvalho held a meeting with Mr Declan Kirrane representative of ISC Intelligence in Science.
During the meeting, Mr Kirrane presented to Ms Carvalho the African-European Radio Astronomy Partnership's (AERAP) new initiatives.
AERAP was established in May 2012 and contributes to implementation of the objectives of the Written Declaration 45 on "Science Capacity Building in Africa: promoting European-African radio astronomy partnerships" that has been adopted in March 2012.
