Maria da Graça Carvalho participated in the annual Convention of the AeroSpace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD), which took place from 10th to 12th October in Lisbon and was organized by the AICEP and DANOTEC.
Maria da Graça Carvalho participated in the workshop 1 on Sustainable research and innovation. She focused her intervention on describing how H2020 will contribute to the competitiveness of European industry and to the aeronautics industry in particular. Maria da Graça Carvalho gave a general overview of H2020 and its main principles, its structure and priorities. She also spoke about the institutional negotiation process and about her particular contribution as rapporteur for the Specific Programme Implementing H2020. To conclude Ms Carvalho also spoke about the funding that will be devoted to science and innovation in the forthcoming EU budget.
