Maria da Graça Carvalho participated as a speaker in the seminar The perspectives of the decision-making process of the 2014-2020 UE policies to boost the innovation and competitiveness in the industrial clusters.
The event was hosted by Amalia Sartori MEP, President of EP's Industry, Research and Energy ITRE Committee and organized by E.R. AMIAT (Emilia-Romagna Advanced Mechanics and Industrial Automation Technology) and took place today in the European Parliament.
The seminar dealt with the policies fostering the innovation and competitiveness of industrial clusters through the decision-making perspectives of European policies in the next seven years and the sharing of the competitiveness strategies adopted by industrial districts, Emilia-Romagna Advanced Mechanics Cluster in particular.
In her quality as rapporteur for the Specific Programme Implementing Horizon 2020, Maria da Graça Carvalho illustrated the program Horizon2020, during her intervention.
Among the speakers there were also Gian Carlo Muzzarelli, Ministry of Production and Sustainable Development of the Emilia-Romagna region, Tiziana Ferrari, General Manager of Unindustria Bologna (Bologna Manufacturers' Association), Jean David Malo, Head of Financial Innovation Unit - DG Research and Innovation of the European Commission, Olivier Debande, EIB Senior Economist , Ivan Damiano, General Manager of the bank Cassa di Risparmio di Cento, and Professor Paolo Lugli, Head of the Institute for Nanoelectronics, Technical University of Munich. The opening remarks were made by Leonardo Peli, President of E.R. - AMIAT and Daniele Vacchi, Secretary General of E.R. - AMIAT was the responsible for the conclusions.
The seminar was attended by European representatives and a delegation from the industrial world of the Emilia- Romagna area, who have decided to share today's paramount need in industry, i.e. fostering growth in Europe and creating employment for young people.
