Press Reform of electricity market, European co-legislators agree on REMIT regulation

The EU Council and the European Parliament reached, on Thursday 16 November, a provisional political agreement on the Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency (REMIT).

“It’s a good agreement. We have strengthened the European dimension”, said a delighted rapporteur Maria da Graça Carvalho (EPP, Portuguese), who told EUROPE that these negotiations were part of a debate “between European and national powers”.
