Maria da Graça Carvalho bureau adopts greenhouse gas emissions management plan and offsets carbon footprint.
Ms Carvalho is deeply interested and involved in issues relating to Energy and Climate Change, Innovation and Developing countries. She believes it is "up to all of us - States, corporate sector and organizations, as well as individuals - to take action in reducing carbon emissions which contribute to dangerous climate change.
From this point onwards, Ms Carvalho´s Bureau is committed to taking stock of the carbon footprint of its professional activities, using good practices to reduce this carbon impact, and offsetting 100% of the non avoidable emissions.
"Working with e)mission, a professional carbon management and offset service, we carried out an inventory of carbon emissions from different sources, and identified processes or equipment which can be optimized from an energy and carbon perspective".
100% of the carbon footprint was compensated, using carbon credits which comply with the most stringent international criteria, originating from projects in developing countries which contribute to local sustainability while reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
